Your adventure begins early in Santa Elena de Uairén, the gateway to Mount Roraima. Travel by 4×4 through savannah landscapes to the indigenous village of Paraitepuy. After registering with park rangers, start your trek across open grasslands.
You will cross small rivers and enjoy wide views of the Roraima and Kukenán Tepuis. The hike is moderate and ideal for acclimatization. Camp is set near the Tek or Kukenán River, where you enjoy dinner and your first night under the stars.
Hiking: 7 km | 4 hours
After breakfast, the trail slowly begins to rise. The scenery changes from savannah to forest, with orchids and unique vegetation. Roraima’s massive wall grows closer with every step.
